How It Works!

Photobucs - a photo contest website which conducts photo contest in various categories.   Contest have a duration of one full month.  Contest are scheduled to start on the 1st day of the month and conclude on the last day of the same month at the same time.  

To participate, you must meet and/or agree to the following terms:

• You must be least 18 years of age.
• You must have a verified PayPal.Com account.  If you don't have one, please visit the following link to sign up:  https://paypal.com.
• You must be willing to pay a contest registration fee in the amount of $9.95 or $14.95.  The amount required depends on the contest prize being offered.

If you meet the above requirements, you are welcome to participate in any of our upcoming photo contest.

Here's How To Get Started!

To participate, visit the contest page for the contest you would like to participate in.  For example, let's say you want to participate in our contest for dogs.  What you would do is visit our Home Page and locate the link "Photo Contest for Dogs" and click on it to visit the contest home page for this category.  Next, locate and click on the  "Contestant Registration" link in the top menu.  This will bring up the member registration form.  Simply complete and submit this form to complete the registration process.  Don't worry, registration is 100% free of charge. 

After completing the registration process, the next step is to login to the account you created and upload your contest photo.  To login, simply return to the contest page for dogs and click on the "Contestant Login" link in the top menu.  This will take you to the member's login page.  Next login and scroll down and locate "Upload Your Contest Photo".  Before uploading your photo, make certain it is at least 200 pixels x 180 pixels.  If it is larger, don't worry, our system will resize it for you automatically.  To upload your photo, it must be stored on your computer hard drive. If it is, click on the "Browse" button to search your hard drive for the photo file then select it.  Next, click the "Update Profile" button to completely upload the photo.  After you have uploaded your photo, you will need to refresh the page to view it. 

Now that you've uploaded your photo, the next step is to wait until you receive notification from us by e-mail.  When you receive a notification from us, you should act immediately especially if we are writing to inform you that you should visit the member's area to pay the contest registration fee so that your photo can officially be entered into the contest.  You will want to do this immediately using your PayPal account. You will receive a deadline date to submit this fee.  If you are truly serious about participating, please submit this fee by the deadline provided in the e-mail or your photo will not be submitted.  The e-mail will include instructions on how to pay this fee.  Once this fee is paid, your photo will be placed on the contest page.  After this process, all you'll need to do is wait for the contest to begin.  On the day the contest begins, each contestant will be encourage to attract as many people as they can to the contest page to submit a vote for their individual photo(s), but keep in mind, when submitting a vote any contest photo, the person voting can only vote once for any photo in a 24 hour period, however, they will be allowed to vote for up to 3 photos during any given 24 hour period.

At the conclusion of the contest, the contestant whose photo accumulated the most votes during the contest period, will receive the cash prize.   In the event of a tie, the winnings will be evenly split among all winners.  The prize amount will range anywhere from $100.00 to $500.00.  The exact amount will be displayed on the contest page prior to the contest start date.  This amount will be paid to the winner's PayPal account within 24 to 36 hours after the contest ends. 

After payment has been made, preparations will begin for our next contest.  All participants will be eligible to compete again, however another contest registration fee will be required for each photo submitted.
